Why can't the model run?

Hello,

I was trying to set up concentration simulation on PC version HYSPLIT. After downloading forecast data from ARL using FTP, I added the GFS file in the concentration setup and retrieved the corresponding control file.

However, no calculations were performed when I clicked the 'run model' button.

According to the user guide, the simulation log will indicate real-time percent complete if the model is running successfully. Why can't the model run in this case?

When you retrieve the CONTROL file it will overwrite what you enter in the Setup. Is that what you wanted? Open the file CONTROL in Notepad and make sure it is correct.

I assume you have run the Quick Start - Run Example successfully. It is always good after installing HYSPLIT to run the example cases.
