API to pull high altitude wind information

Post by kkaiser » May 1st, 2014, 11:10 am

I'm writing a online program that needs high altitude wind speeds and direction. Is there any API that would allow me to pass the lat/lon and date/time information and have it return this?

Unfortunately we do not have an API that provides such data. However, you might want to check our READY web page (http://ready.arl.noaa.gov/READYcmet.php) where you can extract a model sounding for a user provided location and time.
