HYSPLIT Forum: hysplitbbs.arl.noaa.gov

Hello,

I am trying to run HYSPLIT via the command line in linux. I have a working version of HYSPLIT installed, using the GUI. When I try to run the /exec/hyts_std file, I enter in the same parameters that were used in a successful GUI run, but I get the following error:

gdas1.apr13.w4
Unable to find file: gdas1.apr13.w4
On local directory : /home/ejm/Desktop
Check input CONTROL file for correct values
STOP 900

This doesn't make sense to me, since the file paths are correct and produce working model output and a proper CONTROL file when I use the GUI. Any ideas why it can't locate the met file?

Do you have a / at the end of the directory where the meteorological file resides. If yes, can you please send me your CONTROL file?
