I recently created a .shp file with terrain contours for the island of Hawaii. The contour.ps file looks great. The problem occurs when I create the shapefile. The most important contour line (2200 m) seems to be missing a segment because in each concplot graphic I make half of the contour is missing. Is there any way to correct this? Below is the section of the GIS.txt file where the error seems to be occuring. I don't know if there is a problem in there but that is the only place I can think of. I have uploaded all the files created from this process: gistmp.txt, the GIS.txt file, MESSAGE, and all the related contour.shp files to http://mkwc.ifa.hawaii.edu/vmap/hysplit ... ndividual/
Please advise me on how best to resolve this issue.

missing a segment of polygon in .shp file
Re: missing a segment of polygon in .shp file
The .shp file may be fine but the fact still remains that when plotted along with the states.shp file, there is a segment missing. Since I cannot attach the file here I have uploaded it to the web at http://weather.hawaii.edu/vmap/hysplit/ ... lot0001.ps.
Re: missing a segment of polygon in .shp file
I have made subsequent .shp files to try to work around this but they all fail at the same contour level with a seg fault. There must be a bug in the code.
