Cropping cdump file with time merge with another cdump file

Hi
I could crop the data with time. But the second file and first file are not matching the initial positions.
Is there any way to crop the dataset without loosing the GRID.
If I combine these files without cropping, this works fine, but there is overlap of time.
Could you please suggest the way to do this.
