Hello. I want to show the dispersion of particulate matter considering the city as area source. How should i set this in the model ? Is there an option? Also, is there any difference between dispersion with area and point sources?

There are two ways you can model an area source with HYSPLIT. You can use a horizontal puff setting its initial area to the area of the city or emitting 3d particles from sources distributed within the area of interest. For the 3d particles you will need to make sure that you are distributing the mass of the emissions among all the sources.
