Hello,

I am using arw2arl.exe to convert a wrfout file to arl. Unfortunately I get the error message " Error NetCDF: unknown file format" when I run the arw2arl executable. Gfortran and netcdf are already installed. Should anything be changed with the wrfout file?

For running arw2arl.exe, you do not need to do anything for the wrf output files.

Double check whether the file path is broken or not. Some suggestions online talk about replacing the dots '.' by '_' in the original netcdf file if you are running it on PC. Windows may struggle with dots in the file name.
