Does GDAS suffer the PAOBS problem?

Hi,
I've read that NCEP1 reanalisis has a problem over the southern oceans (45° S-60° S) since it uses the PAOBS data that has an error due to a 180 degrees shift in the BUFR. (more info: http://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/w ... paobs.html)
Since NCEP uses GDAS as input, my question is if GDAS1 also contains this erroneus data or not.
Thank you!!
Sergi
