datem file format
Re: datem file format
Does this mean that the CONTROL file is read in when c2datem is executed?

Re: datem file format
No, it means that your HYSPLIT runs have not properly run. That is why I was asking you for the MESSAGE file.
Re: datem file format
This is most distressing news. Can you please expand on what was not running properly because of the commas? I have fixed the problem yesterday since you made that comment.
This does not change the fact that c2datem is failing to run properly. It seems to loop through only the first two time periods properly. I have edited the observation file several times to see what works and what doesn't and it seems to me that there is a bug somewhere in that code related to the time subroutine. I have posted my new CONTROL, MESSAGE, c2datem.txt, and SO207292014.dat files on the website previously used. Note I have changed the time stamps on the measurement file to get it to run. It is still only outputting data for first, 00z, time period. If I remove the 00z time peril from the observation file it writes out no output but finds shows 184 station matches for times 0 and 1. If I change the observation duration to 2 it still only writes out the first time but it does show station matches out to hour 3. If there are multiple days it still only does the first time period. Why does it not loop through the other time hours of each day to show station matches?

Re: datem file format
I see what the problem is:
In your datem file your "shr" is wrong. You should enter 0100, 0200, etc (instead of 0001,0002, 0003)
