Ensemble error
Re: Ensemble error
I cleared the meteorology file in the concentration setup menu and re-added it. Then it worked for me.
Re: Ensemble error
@alicec No luck, I'm afraid. I loaded the Tutorial/files/ensemble_* files appropriately, modified the location of the met data to reflect my own, and ran the met ensemble - same error (reproduced below for convenience).

Re: Ensemble error
Yes, I have restarted and loaded it from scratch.
I also tried clearing and reloading the met data, no change.

Re: Ensemble error
Agreed. No improvement in my results either.
Re: Ensemble error
Can some of you try running the batch or shell script that goes along with this?
Re: Ensemble error
Agree with Alice - trying to reset/close the GUI, and then load ensemble_control and ensemble_setup files from the tutorial/files.
If it is still not working, try to run the bat script in the command prompt. The bat scripts are in tutorial/batch. The one for section 12.1 is named "ens_meteo.bat".
We are not quite able to reproduce the error you all had at our end. That makes it hard for us to diagnose what is going on.

Re: Ensemble error
I am also getting the same error for the runs and I am using the ensemble_control.txt and setup file. I did reset everything and reran the GUI and still received the same error that I got for the ensemble run.
Re: Ensemble error
@Fantine, @alicec - I just tried running ens_meteo.bat. No luck. It prints out "Enter starting time (year, month, day, hour), then "0 0 0 0" on the next line - and then nothing.
Re: Ensemble error
Can you try this.
Make sure there is a CONTROL file in your working directory.
navigate to your working directory in the terminal.
run
cd c:\hysplit\working
c:\hysplit\exec\hycs_ens
c:\hysplit\exec\hycs_ens 1

run
cd c:\hysplit\working
c:\hysplit\exec\hycs_ens
c:\hysplit\exec\hycs_ens 1
Re: Ensemble error
@alicec - the first command (c:\hysplit\exec\hycs_ens) works (simulation proceeds and completes). The second command fails as described before. Does that help?
