trajectories

Post by lagom »

Hello,

I have a simple question and I'will be grateful to any suggestion:
I would like to use the hysplit model in the dispersion mode but I'm interested in trajectories rather than concentrations, what is the best way to access this information? I used the PARDUMP file but it seems to be thought to restart the model rather than for this purpose. Is there any internal option to set?

Thank you in advance

I'm curious as to what people are intending to do with the path of the individual computational
particles in the dispersion simulation.
Are these source attribution applications?

Hello,

first of all thank you for your reply.
I read the suggested posts but I've the problem that I can't set ICHEM=8 because I've to keep it equal to 5.
About your question: I would like to compute statistics on quantities that are intrinsically lagrangian, it is not source attribution application, it's more fundamental.

Thank you again

Yes, if you are using ichem=5 then you will have some problems keeping track
of the computational particles because some will be removed during deposition.
I any solution would involve modifying the code.
