Hi;
I need to simulate the backward trajectory for the year 2007 of months Jan,Feb,Oct,Nov,Dec. How should i select the time for some consecutive day say April 9 to 18 and how to get trajectories for those days.

Re: Trajectory simulation
Trajectories can be manually run on the web at http://www.ready.noaa.gov/HYSPLIT_traj.php
There is no system online for automatically running say once a day.
Through the Windows/Mac version of HYSPLIT, there are templates of scripts to automate the running of trajectories. See c:\hysplit4\examples\scripts.
See also the HYSPLIT tutorial, specifically 5.5 Batch file scripting:

Re: Trajectory simulation
Even if I’m running for three days, say from Sept.1 to Sept.3 , I’m getting 3 tdump files and only one of them (Sept2) has the full info for each hour. The other two files just have random number of hours and go back only for two days. What is the reason for that and how to het full -168 hours for each day? I do, of course, have the meteorological data available for these calculations.
Re: Trajectory simulation
You need loading the meteorological data at end of Aug. for backtrajectory calculation starting from the first few days of Sep.
