strange results from "source-receptor matrix approach"

Post by kmwai »

Hello,

My intention is to set up a case using the captioned approach in order to know what fraction of air concentration at Mauna Loa (i.e. the receptor) was contributed by a grid of sources located in South/southeast Asia (the control file attached). After I run the model, I set the lat. and long of Mauna Loa at concentration/display/source-receptor/view/extraction method/receptor/lat. = 19 and long. = -155, an error message appears ("Receptor selection outside of concentration grid", see below). When I change the long. to 180 degree, results are given but wrong (>> 100%, attached). I tried to change the center of Lat and Lon in concentration/setup run/definition of concentration grid with long. = -155 or -170 or 120 but still appears the error message below.

Would you suggest how to fix it?

Thanks.

Best wishes,

Peter

Can you please send me the MESSAGE file that you get after you run the model?

Hello,

I have overwritten the message file by another model run. When I delete all the files from my previous runs and run the given control file again, the modelling results are normal (i.e. < 100%) now, although I don't know why. So I think the problems were solved.

Thanks.

Peter
