Vertical Velocity Options

Hello everyone,

I am using HYSPLIT for my thesis. I couldn't find detailed information about the differences between model vertical velocity and isentropic options. Can you help? What are the assumptions of these methods?

Thanks for the answer! I checked and used them in my thesis. I have another question . Are "model vertical velocity" and "kinematic method" and "three-dimensional method" the same? Unfortunately, I could not find any answer about it.
