MESSAGE is attached as *.txt. I have experienced this same result 3x. This message file was generated after I opened a new instance of HYSPLIT. I found it straightforward to configure this simulation yet, I only achieve 75% completion before it stops or slows to an excessively low level of progress. I made no changes to HYSPLIT and ran the simulation 2x in this manner. In view of this issues I reduced numpar from 50000 to 5000 and the simulation behaved identically...no progress beyond 75%.

Please try running the batch/bash script. If you are using Windows, this involves double clicking on cust_smoke.bat in the Tutorial/batch subdirectory.

You may also want to try hitting reset, restart HYSPLIT, and/or cleanup your working directory.
