Archive Meteorological data error on Mac computer

Post by jvivar000 »

Hi,
When trying to follow the tutorial on the meteorology section I run into an error. The file in exercise 3.2 (https://www.ready.noaa.gov/documents/Tu ... o_ftp.html) doesn't load. I get the following error: couldn't execute "ftp": no such file or directory. I know the GUI is supposed to download this file but I'm not sure why the file is not being downloaded to my directory. I heard someone mention in the workshop that if the directory's name is too long there might be issues but the name is short so I don't think this is the problem.Image[/img]

ftp is a program for downloading files. It doesn't appear that your Mac computer has ftp. You might want to install the ftp client program.
