ftp forecast failing to load

getting a error message that says ftp failed. Anyone else have this issue?
A few minutes ago, I was able to download a file using ftp without an issue. This was done on a Linux computer. However, the ftp command (ftp.exe) on Windows failed, which happened because ftp.exe does not support the passive mode.
The Hysplit graphical user interface delegates downloading a file to the ftp command provided by the operating system. If the ftp command fails, Hysplit cannot download a meteorological file. One workaround is to use a third party ftp client to manually download meteorological files. There are many. FileZilla FTP client, WinSCP, etc.
