Hello,

The laptop I will be using is that which I used during the 2020 HYSPLIT workshop. All files installed for the 2020 workshop remain on the disk. How might this alter installation instructions for me?

Since graphical utility programs were already installed, it is only HYSPLIT that needs to be reinstalled. Copy or back up files under the working directory if it is necessary. Then uninstall HYSPLIT and install version 5.1.0. Following the readme file under the python subdirectory, run the uninstall_win10.bat and then install_win10.bat. This is to upgrade the python graphics. Run the installation tests as described in Chapter 2 of the Tutorial to see if everything is working.

I experienced a few error codes while extracting the zipfile. For example, Error Code x80000045 regarding gdas 11-22.bin. At a minimum (2) other dust binary files were involved.

How can I request virtual installation support as stated in the agenda? This may be the most efficient route to a functional installation.

Please let me know. I will monitor the forum.

Edit - The files involved during extraction were (3) png giles: dust007.+ - dust009.* and (1) bin file: gdas11-22.* (perhaps gda11-22.*).

Testing installation of 5.1.0:

2.3 Air Concentration failed concplot.ps was not in working directory - How do I resolve this issue?

2.4 Batch File Scripting - the proper graphic was displayed as described.

Why did 2.4 work and 2.3 fail? I would want to suspect the GUI, but cannot isolate a specific reason.
