HYSPLIT is written mostly in Fortran. It uses a few libraries which are also available in Fortran. There is some C mixed in, especially in the libraries like netcdf and ioapi.
Would there be any interest in translating the entire HYSPLIT code into octave/Matlab source code? What would be a funding mechanism for such a conversion?
