Access to multi-processor version of HySPLIT

Post by RickV »

I will need to utilize this version of HySPLIT. Roland discussed this in some detail on Day 4. I was just reading about Linux version of HySPLIT and apparently use of Linux version requires one to become a registered user - I am currently an unregistered user because I do not work for an organization involved in research related to HySPLIT (this is described as the primary dichotomy for unregistered/registered users). Is there any means for me to obtain a Linux version so I can utilize the mpi version given the above?

For obtaining HYSPLIT for Linux, see:

https://www.ready.noaa.gov/HYSPLIT_linux.php

There are precompiled linux executables available that are compatible with MPI. Another option is to request the source code for you to compile yourself.
