I installed the unregistered version of HySPLIT recommended in the installation instructions because this version was described to run with the examples in the Tutorial. How should we configure our PCs after the workshop in order to continuing to work with HySPLIT?

The unregistered version will work just fine after the workshop ends. You can download the desired meteorology data and use the example setup and control files as templates for your own hysplit runs.
Please see section 3 of the tutorial for the complete instructions describing how to get archived meteorology data in a hysplit readable format.

I encourage you to reference various sections of the tutorial to guide you in developing your own simulations.
