sensitivity analysis

Post by akramzali »

Dose HYSPLIT have the ability to do sensitivity analysis on source term? or I should do by repeating calculations?

The model can be configured to estimate the uncertainty due to the emission location (or location within the meteorological grid). HYSPLIT can vary the emission location by shifting the source 1 grid in all directions creating an ensemble of 27 members. See the following link for further details: http://www.meteozone.com/home/tutorial/ ... meteo.html
Alternatively you can vary the emission strength and use a Transfer Coefficient Matrix to fit the best emission profile to your measuremts. See this link for further details about this technique: http://ready.arl.noaa.gov/READY_fdnpp.php
