Is the model designed only to model slow releases of chemicals or could it also be used in the case of explosions?

In the case of an explosion you would need to define two starting heights to inititially distribute material in the column to account for mechanical and thermal rise and you may need to define an initial source area (virtual source) rather than assuming the default point source. How to do this is described in the User’s Guide.
