In the HYSPLIT GIS output section, is it possible to have an option to output BOTH KMZ and shapefile? Depending on the user, we may have need to send either or both.

Unfortunately you will have to choose one option at the time. They cannot be chosen simultaneously.

Thanks! I understand that's the way it's configured at this time. Are there any plans to add this functionality so WFOs can share the output to match multiple user's preferences?

Air Resources Lab. is testing an update to HYSPLIT on WOC. The update changes how software configuration is managed, which would simplify our source code management. Once the update is tested and deployed, we will start looking into simultaneous production of KMZ and Shapefile.

ARL pushed the code change to WOC servers. By default, GIS shapefiles and Google Earth KMZ are generated.
