"Run Hysplit4.LNK access is denied" error on installation
Posted: August 24th, 2019, 7:24 pm
This morning, my computer's antivirus software was acting up and somehow my hysplit.tcl short cut on desktop got erased. So I had to reinstall tcl, ghostscript and hysplit. However, upon installing hysplit this error popped up<in the following graph> and could not run anything with hysplit, not even through command prompt, and I will get an error like this. Has anyone had similar experience? Please let me know. Thank you!

This message indicates that HYSPLIT cannot find your TCL software.
If you downloaded our tcl.zip file, after unzipping the file https://www.ready.noaa.gov/data/web/mod ... al/tcl.zip
, let's assume the binary (wish86t.exe) resides under C:\tcl\bin, right-click the HYSPLIT shortcut "Run Hysplit" on the desktop, then Properties. In the Target: field, add C:\tcl\bin\wish86t.exe before C:\hysplit4\guicode\hysplit4.tcl (assuming hysplit was installed in C:\hysplit4 and separate these two strings with a blank space).
