Hello,
I traced the trajectories of two cases of dust storms in two localities above Mali. But I can not display concentration contours with the HYSPLIT dust module. Below are the configuration files control.txt and setup.txt.
Why can not I trace them? is my configuration good? Help me please.

Re: Hysplit using
In this link you can find information about how to run hysplit for a forest fire.

Re: Hysplit using
I understood the principle but I have two other questions:
1- Is it from this principle, we can deduce or estimate the frequency of fire in the area?
2- This time, it is on the simulation of dust storms in Mali from the Saharan dersert:
I manage to execute the model after the configurations but the display is impossible. Can you help me solve this problem?
Thank you in advance.

Re: Hysplit using
HYSPLIT is not modeling the fire growth, it only calculates the transport, dispersion and deposition of the particles once they are emitted into the atmosphere. You can get further information about our modeling tools for smoke originated from fires in the following link: https://www.arl.noaa.gov/hysplit/smoke- ... bed-burns/
Regarding the dust storm, are you referring to the example in the tutorial?
