Post by arl.noaa »

I want to display my own back ground map in the trajectory plots for using shapefiles that I have for my location, how do I do that?

HYSPLIT can load the shapefiles you already have and display them without using the arlmap file. See the Tutorial on how to do this at:

step3) I created the trajectory shape file using
./trajplot -itdumpDelhiForward -a1
It successfully created the GIS_traj_ps_01.txt & .att files.

step4) ./ascii2shp -i trajplot lines <GIS_traj_ps_01.txt
it has created the trajplot shape files.

step5) ./trajplot -itdumpDelhiForward -a3 -z50 -jindiafiles.txt -v1 -s1 -m3 -g4:300 -otdumpNEWDELHI-ForwardTraj2017051100h2000.ps

my indiafiles.txt file look like this
'/imd/sateesh/maps/india_map.shp' 0 0.015 0.2 0.2 0.5
'/imd/sateesh/emrc-opr/trajplot.shp' 0 0.010 0.0 0.0 0.0
