Hysplit is producing no output for EMITIMES

Post by joaolucas »

HI. I'm using an EMITIMES file whose an excertp canbe seen below:
"""
YYYY MM DD HH DURATION(hhhh) #RECORDS
YYYY MM DD HH MM DURATION(hhmm) LAT LON HGT(m) RATE(/h) AREA(m2) HEAT(w)
2019 09 20 14 0016
2019 09 20 14 00 1600 31.976 -103.63 0.0 3.19 0.0 0.0
2019 09 21 06 0024
2019 09 21 06 00 2400 31.976 -103.63 0.0 3.61 0.0 0.0
2019 09 22 06 0049
2019 09 22 06 00 4900 31.976 -103.63 0.0 4.22 0.0 0.0
2019 09 24 07 0001
2019 09 24 07 00 0100 31.976 -103.63 0.0 4.72 0.0 0.0
2019 09 24 08 0161 2
2019 09 24 08 99 31.976 -103.63 0.0 5.49 0.0 0.0
2019 09 28 11 62 31.976 -103.63 0.0 5.49 0.0 0.0
2019 09 01 01 0112 2
2019 09 01 01 99 31.976 -103.63 0.0 5.59 0.0 0.0
2019 09 05 04 13 31.976 -103.63 0.0 5.59 0.0 0.0
"""
Hysplit runs using it, but at the post-processing stage I got " All concentrations ZERO - no maps" from concplot.
I verified that all my source points are inside the region defined for my meteorological dataset.
Anythin wrong with my EMITIMES formatting ?

Please refer to https://www.ready.noaa.gov/documents/Tu ... _emit.html on how to use EMITIMES. A cursory examination of your EMITIMES file shows first five time groups are missing the number of records (#RECORDS).

On a separate note, the "All concentration ZERO - no maps" message by CONCPLOT does not necessarily imply a simulation failure. It happens when pollutant particles are outside the spatial, temporal, and/or vertical range of interest. Particle plots may be helpful for diagnosis. Check out https://www.ready.noaa.gov/documents/Tu ... _part.html for generating and plotting particle dump files.
