I'm running the pc-Hysplit dispersion model with WRF meteorological data, converted to ARL, as input. After running Hysplit, I found the warning message "WARNING metpos: off spatial domain of all grids".
Moreover, in the message file I often found messages like the following one:

I'm not sure about how to interpret such a message. I can obtain dispersion maps but I'm not sure they are correct.
Attached you can find an example of message file with the corresponding control file.

Those messages indicate that the computational particle position is not within the domain of any of the meteorological grids that you specified in the control file (yours looks to be 20230118ARL). If a particle is off the meteorological grids, then HYSPLIT will remove it from the simulation.
The dead particle message is only generated when using IDSP=2 (stilt routines).

If your meteorological domain is large enough to capture the area of interest, then this behavior is beneficial as you don't waste computational resources simulating particles well beyond the area of interest.
