0.25 Degree Met Data

Post by Smaug »

Hi,

Is there any available data at 0.25 degree spatial resolution similar to GDAS? (Excluding forecast data)

Thanks

Maybe you want to consider the ERA5 dataset which is at 30-km spatial resolution.
The conversion program for it is available: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=1351&p=3882&hilit=ERA5#p3882

There is no gdas0p25. There is a gfs0p25 with the intent that it is short-term forecasts, no more than 3 hours, however until those files are created operationally at NCEP (tentatively late Spring, 2018) there are frequently longer forecast data in the files. ftp://arlftp.arlhq.noaa.gov/archives/gfs0p25/
