Hello,
I use a registered PC GUI version of Hysplit
I am attempting to extract the deposition values from a simple simulation. I would like the data to be converted into a readable format (.csv or .txt) as I want to eventually manipulate the data. I ran a simple simulation and looked at the deposition output graphically. I then tried to convert the cdump file through concentration < utilities < convert to < ASCII. I selected single file and comma delimited options then executed conversion. The resultant txt file appears to show values for concentration at 0m and 100m but none of the deposition values. If anyone could help me with the process for extracting deposition values it would be most appreciated.
Here I have attached my setup, control, and custom wind
Custom wind txt file used as meteorology input(Meteorology<Convert to ARL<lat: 44.97 lon:-92.75, select txt file of winds shown below<run convert):

Re: Deposition Output Data
The values corresponding to 0 m correspond to the deposition. The units that you use for your emissions will determine your deposition units. For instance, if your emissions are in grams, your deposition will be in grams/m2.

Re: Deposition Output Data
Thank you for your quick response. If I were going to locate the maximum/minimum deposition, would I need to add together each deposition value at similar lat/lon combinations? Is this done better with another program or is there a way to do this through Hysplit as well?
2017, 5, 5, 3, 44.97, -93.45, Deposition1 + 2017, 5, 5, 6, 44.97, -93.45, Deposition2... = Deposition at 44.97, -93.45
Thank you

Thank you

Re: Deposition Output Data
You could use a program called concacc.exe that is located in your exec subdirectory. That program will accumulate your concentrations/depositions over the duration of the run.
