Properly configuring a meteorology file for executing a trajectory simulation

Post by joaolucas »

Hi.

I would like to execute a trajectory simulation using WRF data as mateorology input, but I am not sure about which variables these files should contain. By reading the example file oct1618.BIN I see [PRSS, T02M, U10M, V10M, TPP6, HGTS, TEMP, UWND, VWND, WWND, RELH], but I'm not sure if all of them are necessary. Could you provide me an explanation about it ?

Thank you.

For a trajectory simulation you don't need as much information as for the dispersion runs.
However some people do output variables such as precip along the trajectory.
