How to run HYSPLIT for a one-month cruise

Post by dch312 »

I want to run back trajectories (in Windows) for a one-month cruise every 30 min over Pacific ocean in 2010. I have a MS Excel file containing ~1000 records and three columns: time, latitude, and longitude. Is there an example batch file to do that?

We do not have a file to directly read a time-lat-lon from an Excel file. However, you can use Traj_run.bat and runmodel.bat (which is for concentrations) as templates to make your own batch file. These batch files are writing the hysplit input file CONTROL, and running the trajectory executable, and looping to the next iteration. The files are in c:\hysplit4\examples\scripts\batch
