Try the following in the command line.
grib2arl -i3d.grib -y60 -x80 -g3 -p0 -k25 -s2d.grib -cinvariant.grib
where 3d.grib, 2d.grib and invariant.grib are the 3D, 2D, and invariant grib files extracted from the ERA-Interim repository.

That's odd. Can you send me the 3d.grib, 2d.grib and invariant.grib files?

Also, try deleting the file CFG_ARL

I deleted the file, but same old warnings. :s

It works with mine. What version of the code are you using? Do you have access to a linux machine?

Well, thanks a lot for your help! I have updated my hysplit from May 2013 version to the latest one, and it works now. I should think about this first
