trajectory starting point setup (duration / height) ?

Post by wuy »

I'm running Cluster analysis for the transported aerosol trajectories at one observing site.
The latitude and longitude are same for the starting point, e.g. site information,
but when running HYSPLIT backward trajectories, the height and duration may be set differently
for the different aloft aerosol plumes.

Will the different starting heights and duration time affect the cluster results, though I can run through cluster analysis?

For example, one trajectory is set as the 2-km starting height and 72-hr duration,
other trajectory is set as the 4-km height and 96-hr duration.
Can I do cluster analysis for these two trajectories?

Thanks.
