Hello,
I'm trying to import meteorological data into Hysplit with no success.
I would like to use the READY archieved data avaiable in the "Archive Data Extract" section.
At the end of the extraction procedure I've obtained a ".bin" file.
I supposed this ".bin" dataset was already compatible for Hysplit but i can't display it.
So probably it has to be converted into an Hysplit complatible format in the GUI->Meteorology->Convert to ARL section.
Can you explain me how? Every time I try to convert my ".bin" file Hysplit shows "Missing file" errors.
I'm using Hysplit for PC.
Thanks
Adriano

Re: Import READY meteorological data into Hysplit
What particular meteorological dataset are you trying to extract? For what dates?
Re: Import READY meteorological data into Hysplit
Hi ariel.stein.
I selected GDAS (global, 2006-present) / Area and Time -> current 7 days -> The Area I choose is Italy.
I'm practicing Hysplit, so data is not really important at the time.
Do you think the problem is in the time period i choose?
Thanks

Re: Import READY meteorological data into Hysplit
The .bin file you get from the READY website is already in ARL HYSPLIT format. So that we can reproduce your issue, please provide us with all the inputs you are using on the READY web site and then on the HYSPLIT simulation you are trying to do. Screenshots will be useful. Thanks.

thanks for your answers.
I've found the solution. The data must be placed in the "working" directory.
Thank you very much
