Hi,
Do you have an idea of when the 2020 NARR 32 km meteorology data sets will be available?
Thanks,
Sebastien Ars

We have stopped converting NARR data to ARL format since the end of 2019. Available NARR files are for the year 1979-2019.

Instead of NARR data, we suggest to use the 27-km WRF archive: ftp://arlftp.arlhq.noaa.gov/pub/archives/wrf27km
It is available for 1980 - March 2020 and will be updated to more recent month later. The reference of the WRF archive is https://doi.org/10.1175/JAMC-D-16-0345.1

Thanks for your reply.

Do you plan to have the 27-km WRF archive accessible from the web interface?
Do you plan to convert the EDAS 40 km data after January 2019?

The 27-km WRF archive dataset is now accessible from the web interface. It can be used to run trajectory and dispersion.
For the EDAS40 dataset, we are working on it and plan to resume converting it soon.

Thanks for making the 27-km WRF archive dataset accessible from the web interface.
However I have a problem when I am using this dataset: I am trying to model backward trajectories with a total run time of 72 hours but the output only shows a total run time of 24 hours... Do you have an idea of what is causing this problem?

Each WRF 27 km data file has 24 hours of meteorological data. Since only one data file can be selected for the computation of archive dispersion, your run would be limited to 24 hours. To run a dispersion longer, you might want to install and run HYSPLIT on your computer. WRF 27 km data files of your interest need to be downloaded to your computer too.
