Atmospheric sounding

Dear ARL forum:

For years, I have been using the excellent ready.noaa.arl.gov in teaching, research and service activities. Currently, I am studying the meteorology of Mount Everest to determine the composition of the January 2004 plume described in the paper Mount Everest snow plume: A case study, Geophys. Res. Lett. 31, L22102 (2004).

I need atmospheric-profile data upwind of the mountain to help determine the composition of the plume Thus, I went to the ‘Archive Meteorology’ section ‘GDAS1 Meteorological File’ and found it ended at December 2004, Week 1.

I need Skew-T plots for January 2004. Specifically, 20040128, 00Z through 20040129, 06Z (Week 5) for Latitude 27.84N and Longitude 86.75E.

Can you help me?

Sincerely,

We have not archived the gdas1 meteorology for January 2004. Please use the Reanalysis instead.
