Hello,

The HYSPLIT GUI allows us to get more detailed information from our meteorological data at particular times by using the Text Profile menu option. Is this feature available in Linux? The HYSPLIT tutorial page; (http://www.ready.noaa.gov/documents/Tut ... _data.html) does not provide a batch file for this section.Is this something that can only be done through the GUI?

You should be able to run the GUI in a linux environment. Just run ../guicode/hysplit4.tcl from the working directory. You should have the same functionality as in the PC.
If you want, you can also create your own batch file that can call the program named profile that is located in the exec directory. If you run it without any options it will give you a help text describing all the option you have available in the program.
