Threshold friction velocity

Post by arl.noaa »

Hello
When we want to model a dust storm, we can use advanced/desert land use which consider default values. But is it possible to determine the threshold friction velocity for an area our own?

You would need to use the 2nd approach, where instead of -1 in the control file, the value represents the threshold friction velocity, and the next field instead of the area, represents the area times the soil dust density. So you can fine tune your location.
