Max Number of Particles

Post by Esmaeil Mohammadian »

Hello every one

How we can calculate the exact number of "Particles released per cycle" and "maximum number of particles" in setup file?
concentration setup >> (4) set particle/puff release number limits
Really i want to run this model for 6244 emission point (the setup file is attached)

this fact effectively change my results!

thanks in advance

The actual particle release rate is computed by dividing NUMPAR by the number of sources and release hours. Then, MAXPAR should be the actual particle release multiplied by the number of sources (6244 in your case) and by the number of run hours (18 in your case).
On the other hand, if you wish to force the release of a certain number of particles per hour you can set NUMPAR to a negative value. The absolute value will be used to set the number of particles you release per hour.
