Ship Emissions

Post by martin.saliba »

I am doing research on ship emissions in the Central Mediterranean. For my domain of study I have approximately 20 ships. The ship will be considered as static source and different locations. Is it possible in HYSPLIT dispersion mode to include more that one source of emissions?

Yes, HYSPLIT will allow you to enter hundreds of sources if needed. You will need to enter the number of sources as the second entry in your CONTROL file and then add as many lines containing latitude, longitude, heights, and source strength as that number of sources.
For time varying emissions you might want to create an EMITIMES. In the following link you can find information about it.
