Issues while converting ERA40 to ARL

Post by lnguyen5 »

I'm currently trying to convert ERA40 yearly dataset (dowloadn from ECMWF API data server), everything run perfectly except that when I'm checking the ARL file, only half of the year have been convert.

Exemple : I download 3d, 2d and invariant file for the year 1961 (from the 1st of January to the 31st of December). But when I'm checking the ARL with Hysplit it give me that, which says that the file is ending on the 5th of July. Is there any limitation to the size of the data that can't be converted, which would explain while ? And is there a way to fix this problem ?

Are you trying to write the whole year into one file? May be you can try creating monthly files and see if it works.
