any way to use ADD_DATA with a subgrid of global meteoroly data?

Hello!
As the ADD_DATA tool from the EXEC collection does not works currently with the global meteoroly ARL files in latitude/longitude coordinate system, I wonder if there is any way to get a regional subgrid of global meteorology (e.g., FNL, GDAS or GFS) and add the local station meteorology into it? Maybe there is some tool to change coordinate system of that subgrid from the latitude/longitude to the metric projection required by ADD_DATA?
