ACCESS-G to ARL conversion

Post by kerryne »

Hello All,

The Australian Bureau of Meteorology has published the Australian Community Climate and Earth-System Simulator (ACCESS) dataset on the National Computational Infrastructure (NCI), which is now accessible by a THREDDS server. The global dataset (ACCESS-G3) is available at a nominal 12km grid spacing on both model and pressure levels, as well as surface fields. (https://geonetwork.nci.org.au/geonetwor ... _1483_3079)

I was wondering if anyone from the HYSPLIT community had investigated this dataset and were maybe in the process of either modifying an existing ARL conversion routine or perhaps creating a new conversion to ARL tool. We are looking into it, but if someone had already managed to accomplish this task, I’d be keen to discuss any issues they’d encountered.

Kind regards,
Kerryne

I am not aware of anyone working on an ACCESS-G to ARL convertor. If you develop one, we would be happy to include it in future HYSPLIT releases for other users to use.
