Warning: Cannot convert string "nil2" to type FontStruct

Hi All,
I've downloaded the correct version onto my Linux system (hysplit.v5.1.0_RHEL6.10), however several of the tutorial steps have led to similar errors. For example in 3.1 #1 of the tutorial where we are asked to display the grid domain, I enter the fields as instructed but when I click create map an error occurs saying "Warning: Cannot convert string "nil2" to type FontStruct". The full error message and screen shot is listed in the attachment. Similar errors occur when I try to convert WRFARW to hysplit format (Tutorial 3.3 #1) and when I try to execute display (Tutorial 4.1 #9). The screen shots and full messages have also been included in the attachment. Thanks for your help.
