error message
downloaded and installed registered version hysplit and the scripts TCL and Ghostscript. opened Hysplit. went to "Trajectory" then "quick start" then "run example" and error message comes up " ERROR: error deleting "CONTROL" : permission denied" My system is a PC windows XP operating system. Please help

Not having the permission to delete files usually means there is a conflict between user permissions and administrative permissions. Try logging on as an administrator.
If there is no administrator account, open the GUI, click on the center "Reset" button, then open either the trajectory or concentration menu tab, click on "Setup Run", when the new menu opens, just click on "Save" without making any changes, then click on "Run Model", and "Exit" when the run completes, then open the "Display" menu for trajectories or concentrations to see the results.
