Meteorological data extraction

Post by indumati_sp »

Is there a way to extract the meteorological data actually used by the Concentration module of Hysplit ? I dont want the utility in the Meteorology Module to extract the data as the met data is at different temporal resolution than the concentration calculations. Please suggest.

I may not be understanding your question correctly. Yes, the met data can have a different temporal resolution than the concentration output interval.

Search for 'metinp' in the MESSAGE file. That gives the date/time of the meteorology it is reading. For information on the MESSAGE file, see https://ready.arl.noaa.gov/hysplitusersguide/S443.htm
