Please I have an issue with downloading the tcl/tk. I was able to download the rest. However, when I downloaded and installed the hysplit software, it was opening on notepad and not the GUI. Please I require technical support to know how to solve this problem. I tried this link ( ARL pre-compiled Tcl/Tk executable ) for the tcl/tk and extracted files. Please what do I do next? I wait for your reply.

Under the [Installing the Tcl/Tk graphical user interface] section at https://ready.arl.noaa.gov/HYSPLIT_util.php, it is described that:

If you download our tcl.zip file, after unzipping the file, let's assume the binary (wish86t.exe) resides under C:\tcl\bin, right-click the HYSPLIT shortcut "Run Hysplit" on the desktop, then Properties. In the Target: field, add C:\tcl\bin\wish86t.exe before C:\hysplit\guicode\hysplit.tcl (assuming hysplit was installed in C:\hysplit and separate these two strings with a blank space).

Have you performed the steps above? If you encounter a missing DLL error when running the "Run Hysplit" shortcut, you would need to download the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable: please refer to Section 5 at https://www.ready.noaa.gov/documents/Tu ... l_win.html.
