Re: arw2arl - Delta at period: -1380.0001 25

arw2arl can handle files containing multiple out time steps. The program reads a variable "XTIME" from WRF output and uses it to determine time interval between output periods. If the output interval is hourly, values of "XTIME" should be 60.00, 120.0, 180.0... etc. Please check that variable in you...

Re: arw2arl error

Are you using the latest version of arw2arl? The "X" was added to the WRFDATA.CFG as a placeholder for dealing with the precision issue of vertical vertical and precipitation fields. The arw2arl program should skip reading it from WRF output file. Using the older version, you will see the error mess...

Searching "lat-lon", you will see a section setting up GRIDS array for a regular lat-lon grid. Copy below the portion I am referring to: ! Set lat/lon of lower left point GRIDS(10)= C...

Re: Converting WRF data to ARL

HYSPLIT can handle lat-lon grid. The "setmap.f" in arw2arl package takes care of the WRF projection. Extra coding will be needed for passing the corresponding grid information from WRF header to ARL format file. But the question will be, do your idealized WRF output files provide geographic referenc...
